Global steel prices
International steel prices continued to bottom out in August. During the reporting period, the 142.5 point Steel Home global steel benchmark price index fell by 3.5% month-on-month (increased decline) and 22.3% month-on-year (increased decline). Among them: flat material index 131.9 points, month on month down 5.5%(with the previous flat); long material index 157.5 points, month on month down 1.2%(decline expanded); Asian index 135.6 points, month on month down 1%(decline expanded). In Asia, China 128.2 points, down 1.8% on month (decline converging); Americas 193.6 points, down 6.1% on month (decline widening); Europe 132.9 points, down 6.3% on month (decline widening).
